What is the best way to get from Dublin to London and then to Paris?

I have heard the rail is the best way to travel in Europe. Is this true? How are the ferries? Is there a website where I can see fares and traveling times from Dublin to London and then from London to Paris? I need a way to get from city to city with out flying. Please help!

    Ferry from Dun Loughrie to Hollyhead where train meets ferry and takes you into Euston station London, five minute walk or take the bus to St Pancras station where you can get the Euro star to Paris.
