Dublin Central
Could this be the partying capital of the world ?
Life Is Just… asked:

My Fiance and I are in the process of booking our honeymoon in Dublin, Ireland in May/June of 2008 and could use some references for decent hotels. I was in Dublin in May of 2005 and stayed at a nice hotel on Upper Drumcondra road called the McEniff Skylon. Unfortunately this hotel and the rest we find online are more than our budget allows. Does anyone know of any decent hotels that won’t break the bank? We don’t care much of the location of the hotel, but would prefer to be able to walk to the city centre than to rent a car or get a taxi every time we want to leave the hotel. Thanks in advance!

With May/June coming to peak season you’ll find most hotels in around the city centre will be costly. Get your reservation in early to avoid any price hikes from hotels and online booking sites.

I would highly recommend Jurys Inn Custom House or Jurys Inn Christchurch. Both are centrally located, really nice hotels and do some good deals.

If you can, book directly with the hotel.

There’s some good tips here in terms of which hotels.

One good tip I’d recommend is to use a discount service. This site provides the same hotels for a better price – it will give you more budget to enjoy other things.

You can sort these hotels by star rating , location and price

    Good luck with your plans

bewleys hotel in ballsbridge charges 109euros per night, im not sure if this is over ur budget, but its right beside the rds and is quite good quality, for a decent price

the aircoach goes right there from the airport and drops u at the door.
from here there is a lovely park 10minutes walk(maybe a little less) called herbert park which is one of the nicest in dublin,

the hotels also a very convienent location if u wanted to grab a bus to town u can hop on the bus right outside the gate or town is about 20minutes walk from here(closer than drumcondra).
enjoy your stay in Dublin and be sure to visit osheas pub on gardiner street on thursday night, as theres some proper irish set dancing held there from about 9:30pm every week.

Why dont you try staying at bbs instead? Most of the nicer hotels in Dublin will cost you. Especially since you going in the high travel time and it is a tourist town. When my husband and i went to Ireland on our honneymoon we went thru a travel agent and we were able to get an amazing deal staying at both BBs and hotels. We stayed at the Merrion in Dublin, which is simply amazing and highly reccomended.
    Good luck and COngrats
