I want to get an internship and move somewhere this summer. Which is better, Dublin or Las vegas?? give me your thoughts! I am 21 year old female, love to party and have fun, meet lots of interesting people, and most importantly, network so i can find a good job! I am going into business/marketing.

    Las Vegas for sure.

Dublin…wait a sec…that may be biased because I’m basing it on the fact that that’s where they brew Guinness. *grin*

Joking aside, I’d still say Dublin because not only will you meet some incredible people, you’ll also have opportunities to visit other Euro countries. Not to mention, hitting up the parties in Ibiza, La Costa Brava, the French Riviera, and Oktoberfest and Fasching (aka Mardi Gras) in Munich.

As for Vegas, though I can’t deny the opportunities, there are just too many temptations that can overwhelm your senses and take you off track.

Dublin. Las Vegas is like the surface of the sun in daytime in summer. You will have fun for a bit in Vegas, it is very shiny and fake, but you will get tired of it very fast.

Dublin is still a lively enough place and you will have a better time there I’d think.

The job thing will be easier in Vegas. There are always jobs in Vegas, even in a down economy. The economy is bad everywhere – Ireland too.

I disagree with the statement that there are always jobs in Vegas. My finace and I were just there and spoke to a lot of people who work there and are struggling because of the economy. Think about it…when the economy isn’t doing well, people are losing their jobs, and homes is Vegas going to be their first stop? Ireland is doing quite well financially and will continue to do so. Its a no brainer but do your research. I just read an article on MSN in the financial section about how much Vegas is suffering.

I take it culture isn’t that important? Then go to Las Vegas.

come on now, of course Las Vegas is the better city, Dublin is a dirty and boring city and the weather is always crap there, also dublin is a dangerous city

If you want a realistic lifestyle with further opportunities then it has to be Dublin, as you have easy access to the rest of europe and different cultures, and Dublin in a fantastic City, and what is Las Vegas famous for? I rest my case.
