Dublin is pretty boring! There’s lot’s of art gall. and museums but it’s a very modernized city. If you want to see the real Ireland, get outta the city! they have a great bus and train system, so take some day trips…I lived in Ireland in cork (about 3hr train ride) Very pretty and you can go to blarney castle… On the west side is Galloway. It is beautiful (especially right now) You can see the cliffs of Moher there. If you want see rugged landscape, head north, I liked Donegal best but mayo was very pretty too…Hope that helps!

I’m not sure who modern=boring but there is tonnes to do in Dublin and its surrounds. Dublin has one of the youngest, if not the youngest populations of any EU capital city. All roads and rail tracks lead to Dublin so it is easy to take day trips at the very least to see other towns and villages. The source link below will give you an idea of things to see/do in Dublin which are too numerous to include here. Or grab of copy of a Lonely Plant Guide book (not until they they withdraw its guide to Burma of course!)
