Dublin Central
Could this be the partying capital of the world ?
peters asked:

I live in London at the moment but my friends are in Dublin and recommend that I move there as well. I would really like to do that but I am a bit worried that it would be difficult to get a start there (job, flat-share etc). Also London just seems to be full of things to do…easy to do skills swaps, learn a language, instrument , go to gigs, exhibitions etc…
Does anyone have experience of both cities and could tell me the pros and cons for each…
thanks

I have been to both cities many times, and believe me,if you’ve got the chance to move to Dublin…GO!!!!!!..Its much nicer than London, plenty of things to do,nothing like as expensive and much nicer people.

You can do all of those things in Dublin, go over for a week or two on holiday, get your friends to show you round, see how things work then decide.

If you really don’t want to leave London then say so, don’t move because all your friends say you should – there’s nothing to stop you from visiting your friends on a regular basis, if you watch the airlines websites you can pick up cheap flights between London Dublin but you also needs to bear in mind the exchange rate between sterling euro isn’t as favourable as it used to so you might socialising in Dublin will cost more then it did this time last year for visitors from the UK.

Dublin has all those things as well, you know.

As do other cities in Ireland …. besides Dublin.

It’s true that Dublin has all those things as well but it is a smaller city than London.

I’m from Dublin and it’s one of my favourite cities in the world but then again so is London. Dublin is expensive (but prices dropping with recession) but so is London. Jobs are not as easy to find as they once were in Dublin but our economic situation is much better than most other EU countries. Our GDP and average income is higher than that of England’s.

Don’t move from London unless you really want to – especially if you just eant to go because of what friends say. Dublin’s great and I love my home city but how can’t understand why you’d want to move from London.

Do some research yourself and make the decision yourself

    Good luck whatever you choose
