princess asked:
my family is staying in wicklow for christmas, but i’d like to visit some friends in dublin on my own. i was wondering if anyone could explain to me about the public transportation from wicklow to dublin? i live in a small town, so i don’t know anything about buses and trains and whatnot. what would be my best option? where are the nearest stations? what time do they run? because i’ll most likely be leaving in the late evenings. and what about prices? any help with these questions, and some links too, would be greatly appreciated. thanks much.

You could use the train from Connolly station in dublin, to wicklow. Try the Irish rail (iarnrod eireann) website. That will provide you with timetables etc.

If you’re near Bray, you could just take the DART into Dublin city centre, and work from there.
