Was going to book it for an overnight in Stoke, travelling in December from Dublin.
Apparently its directly across the road from the train station and few mins taxi to Victoria Hall where we are going to a concert.
Its the cheapest hotel in Stoke i could find! Im sure theres a good reason why though!
Anybody any suggestions on cheap but nice accomodation or would this hotel suffice for one night?

Try these too, Quality Hotel Hanley, Holiday Inn Express Stoke, and Crown Hotel Longton.
The one you mentioned is right across from the station it’s true, it’s literally out of the doors at the Station, across the pedestrian lights and onto their car park. You can be from station door to hotel door in less than a minute! The Quality one involves a bus ride from the Station as do the other two.
